Education
Our perfusionists and autotransfusionists offer teaching sessions, seminars or intensive courses on varying devices and techniques utilised within blood management programs.
Techniques include intraoperative cell salvage (ICS), platelet sequestration, cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). We have on staff a group of professionals with such extensive experience that sessions will include in-depth physiological background, functionality of various devices and products available, and comprehensive assessments of learning, if required.
We are able to tailor educational sessions to specific equipment, if necessary. At ABM we do not believe that education ends once the learners have left the classroom; as a result we are happy to offer 'on the job' guidance and support for new practitioners.
